Custom projects FAQ

FAQ for custom projects.

How much does a custom web design or marketing project cost?

chevron_forward

It depends on scope, so there is no single price. Smaller pieces of design or brand work can start in the low thousands of rand, while a full website or brand system runs higher. I can only give an accurate price once the scope is clear, so tell me what you need to start the conversation, and a fixed quote follows once we have finalised the brief.

Why aren't website prices and marketing fees shown on this page?

chevron_forward

Because custom marketing, brand and website work varies too much for a fixed number to be honest. A 'from' price would only be a floor, and most real projects land above it. Instead of guessing, I scope your specific project and give you one clear, fixed quote before any work starts. If you're interested in buying consultation hours at a fixed rate consider my monthly plan or my packaged design offers.

How do you work out the quote for design and marketing services?

chevron_forward

First we get the scope clear. That usually takes a short call or two to understand what you need and finalise a brief. From there I estimate the work involved and set a fixed price for the agreed scope. Quoting off a clear brief is what lets me hold that price.

Can you quote from the form alone?

chevron_forward

Not accurately. The form starts the conversation, but a fixed price needs a clear scope. To get there I usually need a call or two to understand the project and finalise a brief. Once that is agreed, I send a fixed quote you can rely on.

Is the quote fixed, or can it change later?

chevron_forward

The quote is fixed for the scope we agree on. It only changes if you add to or change that scope, and I will always quote any extra before doing it. There are no surprise costs at the end.

Is getting a quote free?

chevron_forward

Yes. Requesting a quote is free and comes with no obligation, including the scoping conversation. You only pay once you accept a quote and we agree to start.

What if my budget is smaller than your quote?

chevron_forward

Tell me. I can often adjust the scope to fit your budget, phase the work over time, or point you to a fixed-price package or monthly plan if that suits you better. It is always better to say so than to walk away.

How do I get a quote?

chevron_forward

Start with the form on this page: pick the services you are interested in and add a short note about your project. I will get back to you to talk it through, and once the scope and brief are finalised, I send a fixed quote.

How long will it take to get a quote?

chevron_forward

I will respond within 1 working day of your request to set up a scoping conversation. The fixed quote itself follows once we have finalised the brief, which can take a call or two depending on how complex the project is.

What happens after I accept a quote?

chevron_forward

Once you accept, I confirm the scope and timeline in writing, take a deposit to book the work in, and get started. You work directly with me throughout, with updates as we go.

How does payment work?

chevron_forward

Custom projects usually run on a deposit to start and the balance on completion, or in stages for larger work. The exact terms are set out in your quote. Payments are in South African Rand.

What kinds of projects do you take on?

chevron_forward

One-off design, web, brand, and marketing work: things like a website, a rebrand, a product design sprint, a landing page, or a campaign. If you are not sure whether yours fits, ask through the form and I will tell you honestly.

What's the difference between a custom project, a package, and a monthly plan?

chevron_forward

A package is a fixed-scope, fixed-price product, like a standard website. A monthly plan is a block of hours you spend across ongoing design and marketing. A custom project is a one-off quote for work that fits neither. If a package or plan would suit you better, I will say so.

Can you do just design, or the website development too?

chevron_forward

Both. I can design only and hand over the files for your developer, or design and build the site myself in Webflow or Framer. Tell me which you need and I will quote accordingly.

Do you handle marketing as well?

chevron_forward

Yes. Custom projects can cover marketing strategy, messaging, campaign creative, and landing pages. For hands-on channel work like paid media, I bring in a trusted specialist and coordinate it, quoted separately.

What if my project needs paid media or another specialist?

chevron_forward

I bring in a trusted specialist and manage it for you. Their fee and any ad spend are quoted separately from my work, and ad budgets run on your own accounts, so you stay in control of the money.

I'm not sure what I need. Can you help me scope it?

chevron_forward

Yes, within reason. Pick 'Not sure yet, help me scope it' on the form and tell me your goal, and I will point you in the right direction and flag whether it is a fit. Detailed discovery, where we work through requirements in depth, is part of the project itself and is scoped and quoted like any other work.

How long does a custom marketing or web design project take?

chevron_forward

It depends on size. A small piece of work might take a few days, while a full website or brand system takes several weeks. I will give you a realistic timeline with your quote, before you commit.

How soon can you start?

chevron_forward

It depends on my current bookings. I keep my client load deliberately small, so start dates can vary. Send your request and I will tell you the earliest I can begin.

Who does the work?

chevron_forward

I do. Getmo is founder-led, so your project is handled by me, Piet Alberts, a senior designer and digital marketing consultant with over 20 years of experience. No juniors, no handoffs. Specialist partners get involved for larger paid media campaigns, SEO/AEO and custom build web projects.

How many revisions are included?

chevron_forward

Each quote spells out the revision rounds included for that project, so you know upfront. I would rather set clear expectations than leave revisions open-ended.

What happens if the scope changes mid-project?

chevron_forward

If the work grows beyond what we agreed, I will pause, quote the extra clearly, and only continue once you approve. You are never billed for added scope without seeing the cost first.

Who owns the work and files?

chevron_forward

You do. Full ownership of the final work and files transfers to you on final payment. I keep the right to show the finished work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise.

Will you sign an NDA?

chevron_forward

Yes, happily. If your project is sensitive, send your NDA or ask and I will provide one before we get into the details.

Do you work with clients outside South Africa?

chevron_forward

Yes. I am based in South Africa and work with clients locally and globally. Quotes for South African clients are in Rand; for international work we agree the currency upfront.

Can a custom project turn into a monthly plan later?

chevron_forward

Yes. Many clients start with a one-off project and move to a monthly plan for ongoing design and marketing. If that fits, I will help you make the switch.
